Medical Administrative Assistants focus on the front office duties of a medical practice (e.g. scheduling, office administration, form preparation, etc.). They typically do not perform any clinical office procedures.
As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you will need to know office operations and possess administrative skills. The Penn Foster Medical Administrative Assistant Program can give you this training quickly and conveniently.

I'm currently studying Medical Office Assistant courses. Is the Medical Administrative Assistant something that can go along with Medical Office Assistant? In other words would it be better to do both? Or are they similar & I can go farther with my career as a Medical Administrative Assistant?
working on an answer to this for you...
per the medical dept chair person:
The courses are quite similar but a student can only be registered in one medical program at a time.
I JUST signed up.
I did toy with the Medical Billing and Medical Office Assistant courses.
