I started the program on 10/27/12 online but once not receiving a student # or welcome email I decided to call on 10/30/12 & was told card had not been charged so my official enrollment began at that time. I have, as some others, also went about to print out & hole punch the 1st section to store into a binder with other materials for study purposes from Pharmacy-tech-study site (BTW a great great study guide site). I also have been doing my reading in a rotation on the laptop & my android, trying to make it easier on my eyes. I am actually on Pharmacy Tech 4 and have not received not 1 shipment!!! I have called student services several times & have been told that it takes 2 weeks to receive the 1st shipment and 7-10 days after each shipment label is processed following. This is saddening to me because before agreeing to this program I asked many questions on the shipments & was told at no time will I be waiting on supplies because as I began to read a section the system would automatically prepare & ship out the next. To my understanding after reading Pharmacy Technician 1 everything will flow itself along. I did question how there was a guarantee in no waiting of shipments when everybody learns at a different pace& was instructed that that was the beauty of it because everybody learns as you begin a study the next is prepared & shipped. Welllll that has not been the case.... I have since put a hold on continuing further at this time because I am now in the Math section of the program & think I would do a lot better if I have the study materials in hand instead of the computer screen. Not mention I would love to be able to converse back to prior studies or even to highlight things I feel will be a study point for me. I have gotten pretty upset a few times with the snail mail option for my books but I don't think paying $10 to speed up a shipment is enjoyable to me as well. I have learned that having my studies on/in hand & the highlighting technique are my best way of learning, so this is becoming an frustrating issue for me. Yes I am taking the exams and passing each 1 but I believe if I had the supplies it self it would stick with me a lot better if I was able to go directly to my problem areas than having to scroll back & forth through a PDF for studying.
